Then you're as much to blame for how things turned out. If you didn't ensure the paperwork was signed and you continued working for free and letting slide, I don't see how you can just come in here all aggressive and pointing fingers like you seem to be doing. Sorry if that's harsh, but business is business. In business, having paperwork signed is key. I can understand working in good faith for a day, a week, maybe even a month, but a year? Really?
